Course Description: 

This course will focus on various applications found in the field of analytical chemistry. This course will build on instrumentation learned in Chemistry 300, and go beyond the instruments used in typical labs. Primary literature will guide our discussion of various techniques and applications. Understanding of the detailsĀ of these advanced instrumental techniques and applications will be gained through a combination of reading, lectures, discussions, and an independent lab experience. This course will meet two days per week. Some weeks (about six during the semester), a 3 hour lab will be held. Prerequisite: Chemistry 300. One unit.
