Ciocca Center for Business, Ethics, and Society
The Carlyse and Arthur A. Ciocca '59 Center for Business, Ethics, and Society prepares students to become ethical leaders guided by an entrepreneur’s mindset and critically engaged citizens of a society deeply shaped by business. It offers multiple opportunities to explore questions about how business can contribute to the common good and promote real, long-term sustainable value for society.
The Ciocca Center at Holy Cross offers multiple pathways for students interested in business. A liberal arts education is most valuable in today’s world when students have opportunities to connect their classroom learning to real-world environments and problems. Thus all of the pathways include significant experiential learning components. Students can choose any major they are passionate about, while gaining real-world business exposure and perspective.
Offerings in the Ciocca Center are open to students of all majors and class years. Advisors offer one-on-one guidance to connect students to the resources and tools that will enable them to achieve their individual career goals. The Center sponsors three certificates: Business Fundamentals, Entrepreneurship, and Finance and Banking which include numerous workshops (i.e. Finance Boot Camp and Global Supply Chain Management). Additionally, it offers events (i.e. Women in Business Conference and Cross Tank Competition), and programs (Entrepreneurship and Innovation) to build relevant experience and a network of professionals. The Ciocca Center also supports student-led business clubs including The Agency, College Street Journal, Equity Research Club, The Finance Club, HC Launch, Sales Group, Real Estate Club, and Women in Business Club, and more.
