Neuroscience Minor
Students may declare a Neuroscience Minor in conjunction with any major. Students who plan to declare a Neuroscience Minor must first complete one foundational course in STEM (i.e., BIOL 161, CHEM 181, CSCI 131, MATH 135 or equivalent, NEUR 110, or PHYS 115) and one neuroscience-focused course.
Requirements
Minors must take 6 courses observing the following rules:
- Students may overlap no more than two courses with major requirements.
- Students may use no more than two courses from their major department.
- Foundations in STEM courses shall not count toward overlap with major requirements.
- Students must include course form at least three departments in the minor.
- Students are not required to take BIOL 161, but it is recommended and serves as the prerequisite for many cellular/molecular approach course options.
